Changes

It has been proposed that The Augustan Society, Inc., create the office of '''Executive Director'''. This will require a majority vote of the [[Board]] to put the matter on the ballot, and a majority vote of the members to amend the [[By-Laws]]. Until that time, the qualifications, duties, and authority of this theoretical office are but theories. The Society does not presently have the office of Executive Director.

Note: The contract with [[Consuls]] permit them to style themselves in many waysintent of the proposal is that the Board would meet only once per year, including "that primarily to confirm the appointment and set the compensation of the Executive Director". This is so that those unfamiliar , with the term Consul (which is to saylatter taking over the administraion of the Society, most including all functions and powers of the modern world) can more readily understand [[President]] save his role as Chief of the authority [[Order of the Consul using that title. It has no bearing on an office by the same nameAugustan Eagle]], and all functions and powers of the Board save the authority to use that title will of course be rescinded by amend the creation of such an officeBy-Laws.
