It has been proposed that The Augustan Society, Inc., create the office of '''Executive Director'''. This will require a majority vote of the [[Board]] to put the matter on the ballot, and a majority vote of the members to amend the [[By-Laws]]. Until that time, the qualifications, duties, and authority of this theoretical office are but theories. The Society does not presently have the office of Executive Director.
Note: The contract with [[Consuls]] permit them to style themselves in many ways, including "Executive Director". This intent of the proposal is so that those unfamiliar with the term Consul (which is to sayBoard would meet only once per year, most of that primarily to confirm the modern world) can more readily understand appointment and set the authority compensation of the Consul using that title. It has no bearing on an office by Executive Director, with the same namelatter taking over the administraion of the Society, including all functions and authority to use that title will powers of course be rescinded by the creation of such an office. It will end regardless on 31 December 2017 [[President]] save his role as Chief of the office [[Order of Consul will be abolished as the Augustan Eagle]], and all functions and powers of that datethe Board save the authority to amend the By-Laws.
