State of the Society

In order that the Board and Membership of The Augustan Society, Inc., remained appraised of the activities of the Consuls, and of their opinion of how the Society is doing and where attention is needed, between 2007 and 2016 the Consuls delivered a State of the Society address at the Annual Meeting or the meeting of the Board of Directors immediately following.

Copies of those addresses are occasionally distributed to the entire Board or Membership at the direction of the Board. Some years, the address is used as an occasion for a confidential update to the Board; access to these is restricted; members may contact Headquarters for a copy.

The addresses have been complied and stored in this Wiki. Note, there was no such an adress in 2011, nor in any year from 2017 on.

With the office of Consul being terminated in 2017, responsibility for the State of the Society addresses falls to the Chairman, and in the vacancy of that office, to the President.
