In pursuit of the study of history, The Augustan Society, Inc., has created a First Peoples Study Group. This group is headed by a Coordinator appointed by and serving at the pleasure of the Dean of Studies Chairman, or when that post is vacant, by the President.
In the past, this group was quite active, and sponsored the First Peoples collection in the Library, the donation of artifacts and reproductions, and the occasional article for the Omnibus.
Current projects of this committee, as reported to headquarters, are:
- Drafting a charter for review and approval by the Dean of Studies and the Board.
- Designing a logo for the committee in consultation with the Heraldry Committee.
- Drafting a web page for the committee
