The Order of the Augustan Eagle, a dependency of The Augustan Society, Inc., is lead by a Chief, which office is nominally the Society President. Should the President refuse to serve, a Chief may be elected by and from the membership of the Order.
The Chief is responsible for the following:
- Calling the meetings of the order and setting a schedule for these meetings;
- Appointing council officers from among the OAE membership;
- Creating a budget should the receiver general not be able to, or the position is vacant; and
- Such other responsibilities as the need may arise.
