One of the subjects of the members of The Augustan Society, Inc., is genealogy, and one important subset of that topic, especially for American genealogists, is (US) Colonial genealogy and immigration. Thus it is appropriate for the Society to include a Colonial Genealogy Study Group.
Note that this group is unrelated to the Genealogy Committee.
Tthis group was once a committee large enough to publish it's own magazine, The Colonial Genealogist.
This group is presently dormant, but may be revived by any interested Member by petition to the Dean of Studies.
The first task of such a revived group would be to create a Charter to define the scope of their studies.
