One of the principle topics studied by members of The Augustan Society, Inc., is genealogy. Thus it is appropriate for the Society to include a Genealogy Study Group.

Note that this group has been and would be separate from the Genealogy Committee. The Committee is responsible for conduction the Society's genealogical activities, while the Study Group would focus on developing the skills and practice of the Study Group members.

This group is presently dormant, but may be revived by any interested Member by petition to the Dean of Studies.

The first task of such a revived group would be to create a Charter to define the scope of their studies.
