One of the major subject areas of The Augustan Society, Inc., is the study of royalty and nobility. Thus it is appropriate for the Society to include a Royalty & Nobility Study Group. Note that this is different from the Royalty & Nobility Committee, which has certain official duties, though it would not be surprising to see significant overlap in the memberships.

Presently inactive, this group was once a committee large enough to publish it's own magazine, Royalty & Monarchy, and to collaborate with the Genealogy Committee on The Journal of Royal & Noble Genealogy. The group may be revived at the request of any Member in Good Standing.

The first task of such a revived group would be to create a Charter to define the scope of their studies, especially as the term "Nobility" is subject to interpretation.
