Two of the topics studied by members of The Augustan Society, Inc., are royalty and genealogy. The junction of these two form a special topic worthy of independent study, and the Royal & Noble Genealogy Study Group addresses this. There are, however, a number of more specific topic within this field, and the Descents from Charlemagne Study Group was created to examine descents from Charlemagne.

Presently inactive, this group has at times generated and recorded lineages from Charlemagne to Augustan members and published them in Society journals. They are a natural adjunct to the Descents from Antiquity Study Group and the Family of Augustans Study Group.

This group may be reactivated upon the interest of any Member in Good Standing. The first task of such a revived group would be to create a Charter to define the scope of their studies.
