Unfortunately, recent changes at Facebook have greatly reduced the impact of this site (at least without payment of substantial fees), making it questionable if it is worth the effort required. A decision to discontinue active development of the Facebook page is under consideration.
 
  
 
At minimum, the page should be maintained at some low level so that the name is not usurped by others. If this is the choice ultimately taken, it would probably be prudent to abolish the office of Facebook Chairman and assign this task to a [[Social Media Chairman]].

In order to broadly engage with the public, and to inform potential members of the existence of The Augustan Society, Inc., a Facebook account has been established in the name of the Society.

Nominally, this site is managed by the Facebook Moderator, who is appointed by and serves at the pleasure of the Social Media Chairman (or lacking one, the Editor-in-Chief.

At minimum, the page should be maintained at some low level so that the name is not usurped by others. If this is the choice ultimately taken, it would probably be prudent to abolish the office of Facebook Chairman and assign this task to a Social Media Chairman.
