Arms Chancellor
The Arms Registration program of The Augustan Society, Inc., is managed by the Arms Registration Committee. This Committee has need of someone responsible for record keeping and tracking of petitions that none may be neglected. This duty has been assigned to the Arms Chancellor.
The Arms Chancellor is appointed by and serves at the pleasure of the Justiciar General and as such is a voting member of the Arms Registration Committee. Practical requirements of the job are facility with computer records and email. Maintenance of the AugustanHeraldry YahooGroup is also among the normal duties assigned.
The procedure by which the Arms Chancellor performs his duties are as yet unwritten. We hope that the next person appointed to the post will place than information here.
