Rose Insignia Fund
The Noble Company of the Rose, a dependency of The Augustan Society, Inc., has established several special funds for purposes that cover multiple years or which occur only occasionally, and which do not as a result fit into an annual budget system. The Rose Insignia Fund is one such.
The purpose of the Insignia Fund is to provide funding for the purpose of obtaining new insignia for sale to members. As this is an activity that need occur perhaps once per decade, it's prudent to collect the needed funds over an extended period of time.
In principle, all revenue from insignia sales, less the cost of shipping and other incidental expenses, should be placed in the Insignia Fund. The price for insignia might then be adjusted annually so that the fund will be sufficient to purchase the next batch needed. This action may, however, be subject to Budget constraints, with the understanding that a failure to adequately finance this fund will likely lead to delays in production of the next batch of insignia.
Amounts held in the Insignia Fund are not normally available for general expenses of the Noble Company or the Society.
