One of the primary subjects of interest to members of The Augustan Society, Inc., is genealogy, and descents from William the Conqueror and his companions is of particular interest as we have a lineage group on the topic, the Society of Descendants of the Conquest. Thus it is appropriate for the Society to include a Descents from the Conquest Study Group to study such descents specifically.

This group is presently dormant, but may be revived by any interested Member by petition to the Dean of Studies.

The first task of such a revived group would be to create a Charter to define the scope and aim of their studies.
