One of the principle topics studied by members of The Augustan Society, Inc., is genealogy, and a significant subset of that topic, especially for American genealogists, is Irish genealogy and immigration. Thus it is appropriate for the Society to include an Irish Genealogy Study Group.

Presently inactive, this group was once a committee large enough to publish it's own magazine, The Irish-American Genealogist. The group may be revived at the request of any Member in Good Standing.

The first task of such a revived group would be to create a Charter to define the scope of their studies, especially as the term "Irish" is subject to interpretation, not to mention being dependent upon the year studied.
