One of the principle topics studied by members of The Augustan Society, Inc., is genealogy, and a significant subset of that topic, especially for American genealogists, is Italian genealogy and immigration. Thus it is appropriate for the Society to include an Italian Genealogy Study Group, previously know as the Italian Genealogy & Research Committee.

This group was once a committee large enough to publish it's own magazine, The Italian Genealogist. Such material is now published in The Augustan Omnibus.

This group is presently dormant, but may be revived by any interested Member by petition to the Dean of Studies.

The first task of such a revived group would be to create a Charter to define the scope of their studies.
