Given that most interaction with members, potential members, and clients is today online, it is necessary for The Augustan Society, Inc., to be able to accept payments online. To this end Consuls set up an account with PayPal.

Unfortunately, given that the Society's finances were under the direction of Consuls rather than the Treasurer in that era, the account name was set up as <consuls@augustansociety.org>. Now that the office of Consul has been discontinued, it would be appropriate to change this. However, given the large amount of print materials with this data in circulation, it will be necessary to continue to accept payment at the old address for an unknown period of time.

With the end of Consulship, it is reasonable to expect the Treasurer to supervise this change, with the Assistant Treasurer continuing to manage the program on a day-to-day basis.
