Note that a favorable recommendation requires assent from a majority of the members of the Committee, less any who are obliged to recuse themselves. The Augustan Society, Inc., recognizes Orders of Chivalry and Titles of Royalty and Nobility, all of which are necessarily dependent upon a legitimate fons honorum. Thus it is appropriate that the Society have a procedure for review and Recognition of Fontes Honorum.

Responsibility for review of proposed recognition lies with the Royalty & Nobility Committee. They have established a House Recognition Procedure that details the process they will follow.

Fees are normally charged for such recognition, but the Royalty & Nobility Chairman, at his sole discretion, may waive such fees when the petition is submitted by a Director or a member of the Royalty & Nobility Committee.
