Greco-Roman Study Group

One of the primary topics studied by members of The Augustan Society, Inc., is history, with Greek and Roman history, politics, philosophy, and its legacy being an important subset. Thus it is appropriate for the Society to include a Greco-Roman Study Group.

This group has at times been subdivided into a Roman Study Group (but not a Greek Study Group). Such expansions (and contractions) are routinely made and undone by the Dean of Studies as the interests of the membership dictate. This group is of broader scope than the Age of Augustus Study Group or the Roman Study Group.

This group is presently dormant, but may be revived by any interested Member by petition to the Dean of Studies.

The first task of such a revived group would be to create a Charter to define the scope of their studies.
