One of the specialty publications of The Augustan Society, Inc., was the Scottish-American Genealogist, variously titled Scottish Genealogical Helper, and "Scottish Research Committee, and occasionally published as part of The Augustan Society Omnibus.

The Scottish-American Genealogist published 34 issues between 1974 and 1992, inclusive. They were 8½×11", variously staple-bound or included in the perfect-bound Augustan Society Omnibus, and ranged from 5 to 32 pages, with many issues being published in groups of four. All are available from the Augustan Society Online Store.

At times, it was sponsored and edited by the Order of Descendants of Scotland, now Society of Descendants of Scotland, or the Scottish Genealogy Committee. Subject material is now carried in The Augustan Omnibus.
