For a time, the principal journal of The Augustan Society, Inc., was titled Forebears,. The previous and following titles were The Augustan. Some issues were published as parts of The Augustan Society Omnibus.
Forebears published 9 issues between Winter 1972 (XV:1) and 1979 (XVII:2), inclusive. They were 8½×11" staple-bound, or included in the perfect-bound Augustan Society Omnibus, and ranged from 55 to 73 pages. All are available from the Augustan Society Online Store.
Subject material is now carried in The Augustan Omnibus.
