Rose Herald

The Noble Company of the Rose, a subsidiary of The Augustan Society, Inc., includes the office of Rose Herald, who is appointed by and serves at the pleasure of the [Magister Rosae]].

Statutory duties include:

• Serving as a member of the Council of the Noble Company.

Duties presumed are management of the heraldic affairs of the Noble Company. These might be expected to include:

• Confirming the armigerous status of potential members;
• Assisting potential members with the registration of their arms with the Society;
• Maintaining a record of the arms of all members, particularly the Society Registrations of Arms; and
• Editing the Rose Roll of Arms in cooperation with the Communications Department.
