The officers of the Order of the Augustan Eagle, a dependency of The Augustan Society, Inc., include an Eagle Secretary General who generally delegates the bulk of his duties to an Eagle Assistant Secretary General.

This office is not otherwise documented, and there is no tradition of official appointments. Rather, the Assistant Secretary performs most such duties as a function of that office. Despite this, it would be quite possible for the Eagle Secretary General to eliminate this office by performing all duties himself, or for him to appoint someone else to this office.

There are no statutory duties, but presumed duties include:

  • Maintaining the records of the Order
  • Preparing Agendae and taking Minutes of Eagle Council meetings
