One of the specialty publications of The Augustan Society, Inc., was the Germanic Genealogist, variously titled Germanic Genealogical Helper, and "Germanic Research Committee, and occasionally published as part of The Augustan Society Omnibus.

The Germanic Genealogist published 38 issues between 1974 and 1996, inclusive. They were 8½×11", variously staple-bound or included in the perfect-bound Augustan Society Omnibus, and ranged from 12 to 72 pages, with some joint issues being published in groups of four. All are available from the Augustan Society Online Store.

At times, it was sponsored and edited by the Germanic Research Committee, now Germanic Genealogy Study Group. Subject material is now carried in The Augustan Omnibus.
