The Augustan Society, Inc., has established a number of sub-groups. These are wholly-owned subsidiaries, and fall under the corporate umbrella. As a result, all are subject to the control and direction of the Board of Directors.

Senior Sub-Groups

Lineage Groups

Discontinued or Renamed Lineage Groups

  • Hereditary Order of Armigerous Augustans — disbanded
  • Order of Descendants of Ireland — renamed Society of Descendants of Ireland
  • Order of Descendants of Scotland — renamed Society of Descendants of Scotland
  • Order of the Conqueror — combined into the Society of Descendants of the Conquest
  • Order of the Conqueror's Companions — combined into the Society of Descendants of the Conquest

Study Groups

Various projects of the Society are organized as Study Groups. These are nearly all interdisciplinary, as such is one of the Society's strengths. While presently assigned to various departments, and some are called Committees, Consuls propose that they be gathered together under a single administrator, perhaps the Vice-President.

Currently active groups are:

Descents from Antiquity Study Group Family of Augustans Study Group First Peoples Study Group

Many of these groups are presently inactive, but any may be reactivated by any member who expresses an interest:

Anthropology Study Group Archaeology Study Group Byzantine Study Group Cartography Study Group Celtic/Arthurian Study Group Colonial Witches Study Group Descents from Charlemagne Study Group Descents from the Latin Kingdom of Jerusalem Study Group Descents from William the Conqueror Study Group Egyptology Study Group [[Irish Genealogy Study Group Lineage Chart Study Group Medals & Decorations Study Group Numismatic Study Group Philatelic Study Group Photo Collection Study Group Roman Study Group Scottish Genealogy Study Group
