Certificates are issued by The Augustan Society, Inc., as evidence of Society action on any number of topics. These topics may include:

While the design of certificates may vary, all must include the following elements:

  • The arms of the Society
  • The full name of the Society
  • The arms of any relevant sub-group of the Society
  • The name of any relevant sub-group of the Society
  • The name of the recipient, with all pre- and post-nominals then recognized
  • The signatures of the responsible officers
  • When reflecting Board actions, the signature of the Secretary
  • The seal of the Society

Note: Signatures may be applied electronically by Headquarters Staff with the permission of the signers, provided a copy of each such applied signature is sent to the signer.

Presently, the design includes:

  • Goldenrod stock, 8½×11"; except for certificates of registration of armss, which are on white stock, 11×17" folded once
  • Full color printing
  • A gold foil under the seal
