The Society of Descendants of Scotland (SDS), a dependency of The Augustan Society, Inc., collects entry fees, has expenses, and sells insignia. The monies collected and held are placed in the SDS Fund.

Monies are normally collected by the Assistant Treasurer, and deposited with funds of the Society, a record being kept of the amount owed to the SDS. Thus there is no specific bank account identified with this fund.

These funds are generally reserved against the cost of the next batch of insignia required. A per-capita assessment may be levied by the Budget to offset the costs of administration.
