The Fundraising Committee of The Augustan Society, Inc., is responsible for all fundraising activities, and for advising on suitable pricing and profit margins for all products offered by the Society.
At present, the entire Board of Directors have been seated as a Committee-of-the-Whole to serve as the Fundraising Committee, with the President serving as Chairman.
Current fundraising programs include:
- 2014 Fundraiser (complete, but funds not yet distributed)
- 2015 Fundraiser (in progress)
- "Buy-A-Box" Program, to fund Library shelving and other equipment.
- Augustan Omnibus advertising
- Sponsorship campaign
- Book Repair campaign
Other programs may exist, and the Sub-Groups may operate their own fundraising programs outside the control of this Committee.
To date, the Budget has been adopted with fundraising goals that are set without consulting this Committee, possibly leading to unrealistic goals, but as the Board and Committee have identical membership, there is no recourse.
