The officers of the Noble Company of the Rose, a dependency of The Augustan Society, Inc., include a Rose Chancellor.

According to the Rule of the Company, this officer is appointed by the Magister Rosae, confirmed by the Board, and serves at the pleasure of the former.

Statutory duties include:

  • Service on the Rose Council
  • Communicating invitations to membership from the Rose Council to potential members

Historical Note: The reason for invitations to be routed through the Rose Chancellor originally was that our Founder served as "Rose Chancellor for Life".
