Eagle Grand Marshal

The Order of the Augustan Eagle, a dependency of The Augustan Society, Inc., is governed by a Council of the Order, commonly called the OAE Council.
The members of the OAE Council are:
- The President of the Society, who serves as Chief of the Order
- The OAE Grand Marshal
- The OAE Grand Chancellor
- The OAE Vice-Chancellor
- The OAE Secretary General
- The OAE Receiver General
Ex officio members of the OAE Council are:
- The OAE Assistant Secretary General, normally the Society's Assistant Secretary and a Consul
- The OAE Assistant Receiver General, normally the Society's Assistant Treasurer and a Consul
The OAE Council is charged to meet at least annually. Meetings are chaired by the Chief of the Order, in his absence the gavel falls to other members in the order given above.
The duties of the OAE Council include:
- Setting Society membership privileges
- Setting Society member discounts
- Setting the Order of Precedence for the Society
- Settling disputes between members in matters of honor, where both parties agree to accept the ruling of the Council (Note: This duty may be delegated to an uninvolved member of the Council, or if none are available, to an uninvolved member of the OAE.)
- Establishing the specific duties of the component offices
- Such other duties as may be delegated to them by the Board
