Membership in The Augustan Society, Inc., may be in any one of three classes: Regular Membership, Life Membership, or Honorary Membership.

Staff procedures for handling each class are outlined on the pages linked above.

Note that Membership is not the same as being a subscriber. While they are commonly coincident, it is quite possible to have one without the other.

Membership Privileges are set by the Eagle Council and apply only to Members in Good Standing.

Rank within the Society is determined by the Warrant of Precedence which is largely set by the Eagle Council, though sections applying to the Senior Sub-Groups are set by those organizations.

Sponsored Members are those who are temporarily or permanently unable to afford their dues. They may be sponsored, subject to policies and budgets in force from time to time.

Resignation of membership must be in writing.

Return to Membership after any grace period is a different process that new members, and has a different procedure.

Membership recruitment is the responsibility of the [[Membership Committee].
