The Augustan Society, Inc., maintains a number of websites. In order to "divide and conquer" the task of maintaining them, each is assigned it's own Assistant Webmaster. The main website is hosted by EasyNetSites (ENS), and is assigned to the Assistant Webmaster for ENS.

The Assistant Webmaster for ENS is appointed by and serves at the pleasure of the Webmaster. He is granted full access to the site, including the membership roster and the ability to grant access to others. The website address is <augustansociety.org>.

The EasyNetSites website is at <easynetsites.com>, and it contains a Client Resources section (with password access) with FAQs, a user forum, and a tool for modifying the Society's profile.

The Assistant Webmaster for ENS is not responsible for maintaining the data on the membership roster; that task remains with the Headquarters Staff. He may be asked to restructure or do other global tasks on that section on request.

The Assistant Webmaster for ENS is responsible for posting all changes in the content of the site based on input from authorized individuals. Headquarters Staff will be the primary source of data, but each Committee Chairman, Dean, or Coordinator is authorized to make changes to the page concerning their group, with a few exceptions such as prices and the Rules of the Sub-Groups.

The Assistant Webmaster for ENS should work with Committee Chairmen, Deans, and Coordinators and the Heraldry Committee to obtain arms or logos for each. He should also work with the Communications Department to ensure that the random image generator for the bottom of pages include each new publication as it is released, and timely updates to changes in pricing.

The Assistant Webmaster for ENS should make maximum use of internal links between pages, both on the ENS site and the other Society sites. Links to other sites, including other Society sites, should open in a new tab. Outside links should be used with care, and must be verified as active and appropriate not less than annually. This includes the Links page and the links on the List of Recognized Orders. Efforts should be made to add links to both as appropriate and time is available.

The Assistant Webmaster for ENS should establish a calendar that will cause him to visit and review every page on the site not less than once per year, and preferably more often. This review should include checking for grammatical errors, link rot, conformity to evolving policies and procedures (for which this Wiki serves as a reference), and opportunities for enhancements.

The Assistant Webmaster for ENS may change the architecture of the site after consultation with the Webmaster. He may also recommend a new service provider, or the creation of a site in-house to replace ENS, should he ever feel that appropriate.
