The responsibility for all publication activities of The Augustan Society, Inc.—print and electronic—are vested in an Editor-in-Chief, which is the style affected by the Chairman of the Communications Department. He is appointed by and serves at the pleasure of the President.
The activities he oversees may be broadly divided into:
- Periodicals
- Books
- Websites
- Social Media
- Video programs
- Stationery
- Printing, Binding, and Distribution
Specific offices which he appoints include:
- Omnibus Editor
- Augustæum Editor
- Art Director
- Rolls Editor
- Books Editor
- Video Coordinator
- Webmaster
- Stationer (presently the Assistant Secretary)
- Production Editor (for materials published in-house)
While it is desirable to staff all of the above offices, when suitable volunteers are unavailable, the Editor-in-Chief will generally serve in these roles.
