The main website of The Augustan Society, Inc., is located at >augustansociety.org?. It is a turnkey system provided by <EasyNetSites>.
Management of the website is nominally assigned to the Assistant Webmaster for ENS, who is appointed by and serves at the pleasure of the Webmaster. Access to edit the site may be delegated by function to any member.
There is, at present, no written style manual for the site. One hopes that should an Assistant Webmaster ever step forward, they would take this on as part of their duties. Until then, copying the existing style is recommended.
This site also includes the working Roster for the Society and its Sub-Groups. Access to this has been granted to the Assistant Secretary and the Assistant Treasurer, as each is the lead worker on some aspect of the Roster.
The site includes a "Blast Email" function, that can be used to send bulk email to members (or others), according to such groups as may be set up. Maintaining these groups is a non-trivial task that is not often attended to except when a mailing is to be made. This is presently felt sufficient. This function can often get email through when mail sent from <augustansociety.org> cannot. The primary use of this last item is when AOL decides to be uncooperative, or when an email filter requires payment.
